Description of problem:

I just installed Mageia RC under VirtualBox. During install it asked whether to do the online updates which appeared to complete, there wasnt any direct feedback but it passed onto the next stage without any errors.
After rebooting it found all manner of updates required including kernel etc.

I installed from the mageia-dual-1-rc.iso

Was at beta stage, let's close.
The reporter will reopen if it's still valid which I don't think so.
Maybe b/c */updates were empty whereas */release got new packages?
