Description of problem: With the normal Mageia 4 DVD, the rescue boot starts ok, and gets in text mode to the "Welcome to Mageia Rescue (4) ..." window. The install Mageia 4 boot dies with the following error messages: (EE) Fatal server error: (EE) AddScreen/ScreenInit failed for driver 0 See the log file /var/log/Xorg.0.log The log file had these messages: (EE) FBDEV(0): FBIOPUT_VSCREENINFO succeeded but modified mode (EE) FBDEV(0): mode initialization failed I had to wait one minute, for the graphical server to come up. (Long time to watch scrolling error message.) The computer is built by Lenovo. The model/serial number tag says the following, Product Family: IdeaCentre K410 CPU: G640 2.8 RAM: 4G Machine Type: 1168 MTM: 11681KU My system does not have a separate graphics card. Could you attach your /root/drakx/report.bug.xz? Or can you try mga 5 RC?

I tried Mageia 5 RC x86 64 DVD. It worked fine on my system. The md5 checksum was f29f810208def3fb3e360d64bb11072d Mageia-5-RC-x86_64-DVD.iso
I think that's because your card wasn't supported yet in mga4
(In reply to Thierry Vignaud from comment #3) > I think that's because your card wasn't supported yet in mga4 The short version is, it is fixed. You have my permission to close this bug. The long version of the story is irrelevant, problematic, debatable, and left as an exercise for the reader.
