Description Simon Parsons 2014-07-19 18:30:26 CEST
I was trying to submit a bug report (an Enhancement) to drakrpm, and discovered that there was no obvious Component for such a report, and worse-still, once I'd selected a Component, I couldn't deselect it, I could merely select another irrelevant component.

Could we have a component entitled "None of the Above", or perhaps "Unspecified", or even "Other", like "Others" on this report form, but more grammatically correct? ;)

Simon

There is always one correct component, usually its rpm packages.

If it's wrong no worry, guys which are reading the bugs mailing will correct it.

That sounds like he'd still be willing to if he were an admin :-)

@ dmorgan & sysadmin team

Maybe the main (or only?) reason to reject LpSolit's offer to maintain this Bugzilla, was that he wanted to use upstream code instead of Mageia rpms for updating it.

However, both for documentation team (using Calenco) and for i18n (using transifex.com), we're doing things that aren't entirely in line with our policies, either.

Is there room to reconsider?

(Be aware that he has removed himself from the cc of this bug)

I understand what you're referring to, because, believe me, I feel the pain again now that you say this. I've been in hell many months back then, so much that even my skin was hurting as if it was abraded. It is among the worst things that have ever happened to me.

I admit that I probably wouldn't have asked if I had remembered, even if I know that the explosion had nothing to do with my action: anything could have triggered it.
