Description Peter D 2011-05-22 02:56:32 CEST
Description of problem:

The Beta 2 Gnome live CD runs fine on one of my PCs, but not the other.

It gets to the splash screen then hangs. It is not a total lock up, NumLock and CapsLock still change the LEDs, but Ctl-Alt-Fn does not work.

If <escape> is pressed early, it will typically get to "Mounting other filesystems: [OK]" before hanging, but the exact point is variable.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

mageia-livecd-1-beta2-GNOME-int-cdrom-i586.iso

How reproducible:

On one machine, six failures of six attempts.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put CD in drive
2. Power on
