Hello

I use Lotus Notes 9.0.1 and it does't work on Mageia 4. I also used Lotus 8.5.3 and it still fails. It crashes seconds after running

Running it on Terminal I get an error saying that it is too old.

รข/usr/lib64/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/engines/(liboxygen-gtk.so) initialization check failed: Gtk+ version too old (micro mismatch)

I installed gtk2-engine-oxygen-1.4.5 from fedora and lotus notes works great.

Using Version 1.4.2 fails.

Hello,

I installed Mageia 5 alpha 1. It already has liboxygen-gtk 1.4.5.

The problem is that Lotus Notes still crashes with this library but not much as before.

I installed gtk2-engine-oxygen 1.4.5 Release 1.1 from suse and this one works flawless.

Regards

Version 1.4.6 is in updates_testing. It would be nice if you could test it and report if it works fine for you.

Assigning this to Luc who has packaged the update but not yet assigned it to QA.

I've installed this update on Mageia 4 i586 and don't notice any obvious issues. Luc, I think you can go ahead and assign this to QA.
Comment 5 Pavel Kreuzt 2015-01-20 10:18:11 CET
Since oxygen-gtk is still at version 1.4.2, updating iceape ( https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12978 ) causes oxygen-gtk to be uninstalled. The 1.4.6 update should have been released before iceape.

Last update to iceape conflicts with current oxygen-gtk, so this update should be tested and pushed fast, I think. Adding OK on behalf of David.

So, the issue is in the iceape update, not the oxygen-gtk update.

David, if you think the update is ok from the packager side (since Luc hasn't answered), we'll still go through the update process.
Comment 8 Luc Menut 2015-01-20 12:58:59 CET
Sorry for the delay. I hoped to add some more fixes, but unfortunately I don't find enough time to progress, so go ahead for tests by QA.
As oxygen-gtk is the default gtk theme, this package should be tested with various desktop environments (specialy GTK desktop environments like Gnome, MATE, XFCE, ..) to be sure that it doesn't introduce regression in some specific case / DE.
FYI, I use oxygen-gtk 1.4.6 on x86_64 KDE without problem so far.

Comment 9 David Walser 2015-01-20 12:59:49 CET
Because of the conflicts in iceape that were incorrectly copied from Cauldron, the easiest solution would be to rebuild oxygen-gtk with a release tag of 2 (which matches Cauldron) to avoid those conflicts.

Advisory would be:

oxygen-gtk has been updated to 1.4.6 to fix several bugs and patched to fix
compatibility with additional XUL applications such as iceape and kompozer.
Comment 10 David Walser 2015-01-20 13:01:17 CET
Just to be clear since it was said in IRC and not here, the issue cannot simply be fixed in iceape as this oxygen-gtk update *has* to be shipped to fix the issue. I've rebuilt oxygen-gtk with an updated release tag to work around the conflicts tag in the latest iceape update, so nothing needs to be done to the iceape package now.
Comment 11 David Walser 2015-01-20 13:51:06 CET
For the record, the rebuilt update installed fine on Mageia 4 i586, and I can still confirm that Kompozer menus actually work fine now and there's no other noticeable regressions anywhere.

From madb, rpm's appear to be..

*** Arch: x86_64 ***

RPMs from 'core-updates_testing'
========================
[diff] lib64oxygen-gtk-1.4.6-2.mga4.x86_64.rpm
[diff] oxygen-gtk-1.4.6-2.mga4.x86_64.rpm

Testing mga4 64

Confirmed kompozer menus are now not black, iceape can now be installed without conflicts. I'll log into mate & cinnamon and validate if OK.
Comment 14 claire robinson 2015-01-20 15:29:46 CET
No obvious regression in gtk DE's. Also ensured it was seen as an update in MageiaUpdate.

Validating. Advisory uploaded.

Please push to 4 updates

Thanks
