Sander, you were the packager for this, so I assigned to you. I checked SVN and mosh is still there, last build in pre-Mageia 4 Cauldron. It's not obsoleted by task-obsolete, so it's immediately obvious to me why this package disappeared. Do you know? Was it not buildable or something?

Actually, I have no idea :| It has no maintainer so I probably just updated it and submitted. I only submit if packages build on my local iurt so I don't think it didn't build.

Hi,

fixed!! mosh package is now back on our repositories. :)

It is back on Cauldron/Release and also on 4/Core/Updates_testing.
Comment 4 David GEIGER 2014-07-25 21:58:21 CEST

Suggested Advisory:
========================

The mosh package, which for some unknown reason was not present in the initial Mageia 4 release, is being reintroduced as an update.

http://mosh.mit.edu/

This update candidate adds mosh back in the repos.

========================

Packages in 4/core/updates_testing:
========================

mosh-1.2.4-1.mga4.i586.rpm
mosh-1.2.4-1.mga4.x86_64.rpm

Source RPM:
========================

mosh-1.2.4-1.mga4.src.rpm

How to test this update request:
========================

- Simply install mosh package and see if it work properly.

All usage instructions can be found in the official documentation:

http://mosh.mit.edu/#usage

Comment 5 Rémi Verschelde 2014-08-01 10:09:53 CEST
See the link in comment 4 for usage instructions. This should only be tested against obvious errors; if you manage to access a SSH server with mosh (e.g. svn.mageia.org), then it's good enough.

Comment 6 David Walser 2014-08-01 15:48:45 CEST
Validating this. See the discussion in the QA meeting:
http://meetbot.mageia.org/mageia-qa/2014/mageia-qa.2014-07-31-19.02.log.html#l-30

The advisory still needs to be uploaded.

Please push this to core/updates for Mageia 4.

Comment 9 Rémi Verschelde 2014-08-04 21:47:19 CEST
Tested on Mageia 4 i586, it seems to work as one would expect from a SSH utility:

$ mosh akien@svn.mageia.org
