Description Christophe Macé 2014-06-23 22:56:52 CEST
When starting gcompris, gcompris loads and stops with error "unable to find computer.svg".

file 'computer.svg' seems to belong to gcompris-boards and is ok :

[chris@localhost ~]$ rpm -qf /usr/share/gcompris/boards/computer.svg
gcompris-boards-13.11-1.mga4
[chris@localhost ~]$ rpm -V gcompris-boards
[chris@localhost ~]$

the following command solves the problem :
[root@localhost ~]# gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders --update-cache

Or maybe (since it's not a std directory) gcompris should run this command as %post ?

Ok, I added it to the %post of cauldron's gcompris. I'd like to provide gcompris 14.05 as an update to MGA4, as it brings only bugfixes, it would also fix this bug ;-)

I have uploaded a updated package for Mageia 4. Testing it means only ensure GCompris launches for everybody.

Suggested advisory:
========================

Updated gcompris packages fix translations and some bugs :

- Added missing timer images (the balloon) in the multiplication table activity
- Mageia gcompris package did not update gdk pixbuf cache #13585

========================

Updated packages in core/updates_testing:

gcompris-14.05-1.mga4
gcompris-boards-14.05-1.mga4
gcompris-sounds-*-14.05-1.mga4

Comment 4 Rémi Verschelde 2014-06-28 15:35:21 CEST
For the reference there are quite a few more bugfixes and new features introduce between version 13.11 and 14.05, but I think it's still fine to use the latest upstream release for the update. We want Mageia kids to have the best available software at hand :-)
