Description papoteur 2014-06-10 21:51:40 CEST
Description of problem:
When booting the laptop with Live DVD KDE or GNOME 4.1 version, the boot fails. When I add "xdriver=nvidia" or "xdriver=nouveau" on kernel line, the boot works well on KDE, but Gnome reports an error with nvidia driver.
Card:NVIDIA GeForce 8100 to GeForce 360: NVIDIA Corporation|G96M [GeForce 9600M GT] [DISPLAY_VGA] (rev: a1)
The problem was already present with version 4 LiveDVD_KDE

Does it work better with Mageia 5 beta?

Hello,
I have to get the laptop first, as it's not mine.
Please wait until the next week.

We've waited for one month, any chance you could test? :)

Setting version to cauldron since we can't fix Mageia 4 ISOs.

Version: 4 => Cauldron

Comment 6 papoteur 2015-05-02 20:36:36 CEST
Sorry, there is no change to have it.
Comment 7 Samuel Verschelde 2015-05-02 23:43:31 CEST
If there's no chance you can get the laptop again, I suggest to close the bug report for now, and let users reopen it or another one if they get the same issue (which might not happen anymore if it was fixed since).
Comment 8 Samuel Verschelde 2015-06-02 14:51:22 CEST
We can't reproduce since we don't have the hardware. Reopen if someone has the same bug.
