Description of problem: Setting up the HP Photosmart Premium C310 printer seems to work fine, but it does not recognize the deveice as a scanner. Using the HP Device Manager works but only via the manual set-up. Unlike Printerdrake, the HP Device Manager is not able to detect the MFP by itself. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install the HP Photosmart Premium C310 printer with printerdrake 2. Launch Xsane 3. Notice that the HP Photosmart Premium C310 printer is not recognized as scanning device and xsane cannot scan with it Workaround: launch the HP Device Manager and use it's manual set-up routine to install the printer. HP scanner doesn't work with sane, they need the hp tools According to http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/models/photosmart/photosmart_prem_c310_series.html it should work with hplip
