Description Pierre Fortin 2014-05-28 15:38:07 CEST
Description of problem: Opening as a generic problem because I'm starting to suspect a common issue is at the root of all these issues.

1. Task Manager often not updated. A few moments ago, task was identified as a Firefox window task, yet when I clicked on it, the list of emacs windows popped up. After moving the mouse around, the TM finally updated.

2. Digital clock randomly updates. Turned on seconds; but updates are rare. This morning, clock "stopped" at 08:15 and never updated until I clicked on it at 08:58...

3. Added Analog clock to see if 2 was a clock issue. This clock tracks the digital clock exactly; so clock updates are missing to both clocks.

4. Unlike in mga2 (skipped mga3), claws-mail tray icons in System Tray do not update until mouse leaves main claws-mail window.

I'm now wondering if my bugs about wrong SSID on network icon in System Tray is also due to missing widget updates... see bug 12454

Finally got frustrated enough with all this, so I did a fresh install (this machine was updated from mga2) and everything(?) seems to be fine now. Closing for now... would be nice to have a RESOLVED + RE-INSTALLED category.
