Hoping to test MGA4 64-bit In the hope that it helps anyone else wanting to test this thing, here is its description:- This is a plasmoid to show the events and todos from Akonadi resources (KOrganizer, Birthdays etc.). With a google resource also Google calendar items can be shown. Also possible with a CalDAV resource. A facebook resource is also available. Incidences can be filtered, added, edited, deleted via context menu. you need a working Akonadi. Having installed it from Release & re-logged in with KDE, I have yet to find it or see it, let alone try it. Any advice appreciated.

(In reply to Lewis Smith from comment #1) > Having installed it from Release & re-logged in with KDE, I have yet to find > it or see it, let alone try it. Any advice appreciated. You mean that it is not in the plasmoids list ? (right click add widget)
Testing MGA4 on real 64-bit hardware. (In reply to Dimitrios Glentadakis from comment #2) > You mean that it is not in the plasmoids list ? (right click add widget) Thanks for your instantaneous reply. You really need to know how to drive KDE4 for this one (I do not). I had tried AddWidget to the panel, but could not see the new one because of not being able to scroll the displayed list (answer = mouse wheel); and 'eventlist' in the search box yielded nothing (answer = just 'event'). Using KOrganiser to *see* events also needs know-how: the relevant calendar needs its un-obvious checkbox ticked. Otherwise created events simply disappear from KOrganiser, but they are visible in the widget's list (but cannot be viewed or edited). Creating several successive event lists and deleting them using the widget from bottom-up gave confusing results which seemed to me almost the same before & after the update: - Clicking an event in the list does not highlight it. - After deleting an event, hovering the mouse over the widget displays that event still. - Left-clicking the widget pops up the correct residual list. - Deleting items from last to first works even to the last one. - Left-clicking the widget then correctly shows the emptied list. - *Right* clicking the widget after emptying the list seems to crash it. - This happens even if the list is deleted from first to last. I *think* that before the update this left a white-cross-on-red icon instead (which I was once able to remove, but not any more), & necessitated explicitly re-adding the widget to the panel. After the update, it re-starts itself, temporarily blanking the desktop background. If this is deemed OK, please MGA4-64-OK it on the whiteboard. I am not convinced, even though the update is slightly better.

Testing Mageia 4 i586 in a VM. I could not reproduce any bug with version 0.6.96. At least creating several items and trying to remove the from the last to the first or in random order did not show any unexpected behaviour. The update candidate doesn't seem to introduce any regression, so I say it would be okay. Maybe there should be a Requires on korganizer though? I tried the app in a minimal KDE install and couldn't do anything until I installed korganizer and all the akonadi stuff, and then restarted KDE.

Let's push this update, even if korganizer is not a Requires it's pretty clear when using the applet that it should be installed. This can be made easier for mga5 but doesn't necessarily justify to retest a new update candidate. Advisory uploaded, please push to 4 core/updates. Thanks!
