Description of problem: We cannot redirect usb port to VM host, using usbredirserver or virt-manager We just need to add "--enable-usb-redir" at configure step in qemu spec file (I confess I do not really know how to play with src.rpm, I would be happy to do this myself). Steps to Reproduce: 1. launch virt-manager either as user or root: $ virt-manager -c qemu:///session OR directly (root passwd asked this way) $ virt-manager 2. install mageia 4 i586 without completing (clicking on "new VM", do not complete this step, this is not mandatory, it works very well as soon as you tweak a little bit) 3. click on the blue "I" (info) icon on the vm window 4. click on "add HW", add usb either via USB Redirection or using USB Host device, 5. restarting the VM tells QEMU does not support usb redirection... Thanks for your support, Adrien Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:

It's been added to qemu-2.0.0-0.3.rc2.2.mga5 in cauldron. Let me know if this should be backported to Mageia 4.
Yes, I need this option for Mageia 4. Could it be backported?
Yes. I'll see about doing that.
It's going to be rather difficult to do a backport to Mageia 4. qemu needs usbredirparser 0.5, but the version on mageia 4 is 0.4. Upgrading mageia 4 to have this is going to require some tricky updates on the installed packages.
Ok, then I close this bug reports. I can deal with it on Mageia 4. I tested this functionality under m5, it seems to work as expected. Thanks!
