Description of problem: After I start XFCE using startx in a new user on Cauldron, the background gets overrided to a certain colour (I presume it is the default colour of XFCE). There's an easy fix - just run "xkill" and point it on the background or run "pkill xfdesktop". I have not tried with loginning in using a display manager yet. It also happens after a reboot. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Cauldron. How reproducible: Always. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run startx as a new user while using XFCE. 2. Run a terminal. 3. Wait for the default Mageia wallpaper to be overrided. Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:
OK, I Was now able to reproduce this problem when logging-in to XFCE using prefdm. The same workaround I described is still working there.
