Description of problem: Me-TV worked find in Mageia 3, but in Mageia 4 it will not display any picture or provide any sound. The EPG still works, and recordings can be made. Attempting to play these recordings actually works perfectly with both audio and video. This is apparently a problem with me-tv, but is exposed by a change in vlc. Please see https://bugs.launchpad.net/me-tv/+bug/1179606 for more information, and reply #7 in particular. I have tested this. I downloaded /home/brian/me-tv-1.4.0.12.tar.gz from the me-tv homepage https://launchpad.net/me-tv and modified it according to the note in #7 referred to above and compiled and installed it by modifying the spec file from me-tv-1.4.0.10-4.mga4.src.rpm and it fixed the problem and worked perfectly. Brian Schroeder: Could you, by any chance, test if the package from Mageia's updates_testing repository works for you? If so, could you report back and tell us which architecture you are using? This would help to speed up the testing process, resulting in a faster update for all mageia users. Thanks in advance!

Yes that works perfectly. I'm using a 64-bit Mageia 4 on an AMD A10 APU, but I expect this to work on any architecture.
Thanks Brian

Testing complete mga4 32 As Brian verified the bug fixed and this requires certain hardware, just verifying the update installs cleanly and the program basically seems ok.
