Description of problem:
Bonjour, désolé mais je ne sais pas expliquer ce bug en anglais, donc je vous l'explique en français. Il s'agit de la version mageia 4. Je vais dans CCM -- > matériel --> configurer le serveur d'affichage --> puis je positionne le pilote propriétaire de ma carte graphique. Quand je redémarre l'ordi, arrivé sur le bureau, l'écran se mets à clignoter puis je ne peux plus rien faire il faut que je redémarre en mode sans échec pour désinstaller les packages du pilote propriétaire: /sbin/urpme -a nvidia
ça marchait très bien sur les versions antérieres à la version 4 de mageia.    

Voici les caractéristiques de ma carte graphique:

Got contacted by the OP who has trouble writing english.

Still valid (installed beta3 with nouveau driver, rebooted, updated to latest cauldron, changed to nvidia proprietary drivers using XFdrake, rebooted, fails.

For switching from nouveau to nvidia driver, it needs to be ensured that on next reboot nouveau loading is blocked in initrd via appending "rdblacklist=nouveau" to the kernel options and also nouveau should be blacklisted via an entry in one of /etc/modprobe.d/*conf
