Description Robert Ragosta 2014-02-18 18:33:24 CET
Description of problem:
XFCE 4 (all versions) allow on session logout to "Suspend" or "Hibernate" as a users chooses. This has existed in all prior versions of Mageia (1-3). These buttons are controllable by typical user-system controls for the XFCE DM

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
 XFCE 4.10

How reproducible:
Simple reproduction scenario- occurs for any/all session logouts.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Initiate session
2. Initiate session logout

Pushed new release [1] to core/updates_testing. Please test if it fixes the issue.

Steps to reproduce for QA team.
1. Enable hibernate/suspend buttons in logout menu via hidden property (just in case) in cmd:
      xfconf-query -c xfce4-session -p /shutdown/ShowSuspend --create --type bool --set true
      xfconf-query -c xfce4-session -p /shutdown/ShowHibernate --create --type bool --set true
2. Select logout from applications menu and see no buttons for suspend/hibernate.
3. Update xfce4-session from core/updates_testing.
4. Reboot/re-login
5. Select logout from applications menu and see missing buttons.

Comment 3 Alex Loginov 2014-02-19 11:58:58 CET
I tested i586, vmware-player. After installation version 4.10.1-6.1 from core/updates_testing 2 buttons were added in logout window.
Suspend works fine, Hibernate don't work for me, but I have no swap.

Comment 5 Lewis Smith 2014-02-20 11:02:50 CET
Tested Mageia 4 64-bit real hardware

Followed the procedure from Comment 1, updating en route:
 xfce4-session-4.10.1-6.1.mga4
 xfce4-session-engines-4.10.1-6.1.mga4
 lib64xfsm4.6_0-4.10.1-6.1.mga4
Confirm that before the update the 2 missing XFCE logout dialogue buttons were absent; and that after it they are present.
BTW I think this 'problem' exists for other desktops.
