This bug is still present on cauldron x86_64; I switch it to release blocker as providing our configuration tools working seems to me compulsory for release.

The affected package now is:
system-config-printer-1.5.4-1.mga5.src.rpm

I tested it by adding a network printer (at work) which is on ipp://
after a fresh install of mageia 5 beta 1 (and sync to cauldron since).

still valid in mga5 ? if yes change version or it will not be seen...

nope for me, this has been fixed. I am closing, feel free to reopen if this is still there for someone.

I can confirm this is fixed on MGA4 as well. Thank you to whoever fixed this.
