Description Bjarne Thomsen 2014-02-11 18:48:32 CET
Upgrading from Mageia3 to Mageia4 came to a halt at "preparing.....". After a couple of hours I tried this command from a terminal (as root):
echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches
After a short while the installation proceeded at the usual speed. Why was it necessary to empty the caches manually? The upgrade went well. What is going on?

The cause of this will probably never be found.
