Description Pierre Fortin 2014-02-03 03:19:21 CET
Description of problem: Trying to move cells in a spreadsheet causes the screen to lock up... /var/log/messages contains only:
Feb 2 20:46:59 hg systemd[1]: Started Load/Save Screen Backlight Brightness of acpi_video0.
Feb 2 21:00:41 hg systemd-logind[1194]: Lid closed.
Feb 2 21:00:46 hg systemd-logind[1194]: Lid opened.

So there are no log events to help...

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): no idea if this is oocalc, kde, X, ?? issue...

How reproducible: every time I tried. To restore screen, close lid, wait for sleep, then open lid.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start oocalc
2. enter some data in a few cells
3. highlight the cells and try to move them => screen locks up. mouse still moves.

Reproducible:

Switching to Ctl+Alt+F2 and back with Ctl+Alt+F1 also restores screen.

Still a problem so still using OpenOffice as workaround.
Another way to restore system is to close laptop lid, wait, re-open.
Comment 3 Olivier Delaune 2014-08-09 21:39:06 CEST
The problem is fixed in libreoffice 4.2.0.4 currently proposed in Backport Testing.
