Description of problem:
I try to install vmware virtual machine, the install finish ok but when I open the app this need to compile kernel module, like network device ando others, the problem is VMware show this message:

Unable to build kernel module
 

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):


How reproducible:
Install vmware from the download of the page folow the instruccion of vmware web site, install kernel header and make and gcc > 4.4.3 and open the application the aplication try to compile modules for kernel

Steps to Reproduce:
1.install kernel header, make, and gcc
2.download vmware script to install
3.install vmware and open it
4. try to compile modules for vmware.

I doed this steps to install vmware in mandriva 2010.2 and work fine.

vmware isn't in the official repos -> report is invalid.

You can open a topic in the forums https://forums.mageia.org (FWIW, just looking at that log I can't say for sure why it doesn't compile, but make sure you have the kernel-devel matching your currently running kernel).

Status: NEW => RESOLVED
Resolution: (none) => INVALID
