Still valid in 3.14. I figured the way to launch Gnome Weather is via de Shell search provider, but that doesn't seem to work either!

I just tried this in Cauldron and seems to work now. Do you have it installed?

Yes; using Dutch 'weer' I get gnome-weather in mga5 at least. However the shell search provider does not seem to do anything when I type the name of a city like 'Rotterdam'.

For me this search was turned off in the settings (settings->search->weather). After enabling it that worked. Can you check if that's the same for you?
Comment 5 Reinout van Schouwen 2015-06-24 22:52:13 CEST
Yes, that works. Closing.
