pre-4final LiveDVD KDE 32 After booting to live session and installing, when rebooting it hung at the reboot message (Press enter or ctrl-j to reboot). TTYs were present but inacive, just blank screens apart from tty4 which showed some pcmcia info. Allowed to sit for quite some time then tried to reboot with sysrq, only to find them disabled apart from sync ( bug 10473 ) When it gave a message about sysrq being disabled, after a few moments it displayed some other info suggesting mandrake-everytime had hung. I'll attach a pic.. Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:
Created attachment 4886 [details] photo I've not tried to reproduce the hang yet but will do before moving on. It's the first time I've had it hang.
Also, trying other sysrq keys shows the info again.
Created attachment 4887 [details] photo after screen blanked After a while the screen blanked and pressing a key to bring it back I noticed some extra info suggesting it was still trying to access the ISO after instructing the user to remove it.
This bug report hasn't seen any action since before Mga4 release. Is it still valid in current cauldron (or, for traditional installer: with the 6dev1 snapshot, or for live isos with Mga5)?
