Hello, Excuse-me, but is possible a SNES emulator in Mageia repository - Tainted repository? If yes, I recommend zsnes, snes9x and snes9x-gtk frontend. Thanks.
zsnes is already there in Core i586

Thanks José! But, the problem with ZSNES is he has only i586 version. snes9x and your frontend snex9x-gtk has i586 and x86_64 versions. The links to Mandriva x86_64 package versions this softwares in PLF repository: ftp://ftp.pbone.net/mirror/plf.zarb.org/plf/mandriva/2010.1/free/release/binary/x86_64/snes9x-1.51-1plf2008.0.x86_64.rpm ftp://ftp.pbone.net/mirror/plf.zarb.org/plf/mandriva/2010.1/free/release/binary/x86_64/snes9x-gtk-1.52-1plf2010.1.x86_64.rpm I reopen this bug report. snes9x is now on cauldron. From my tests, it does not work as well as zsnes, so I recommend using zsnes even on x86_64 systems.

Hello José, thanks for your work. But, exist a problem in installation of the two packages. See: # urpmi snes9x snes9x-gtk Installation failed: file /usr/bin/snes9x-gtk conflict between trying to install snes9x-gtk-1.53-1.mga2.i586 and snes9x-1.53-1.mga2.i586 (I translated the error message from brazilian portuguese to english). I will reopen this bug report. Thanks.

Yes, dmorgan has done the same work on another package. It is being removed, and now you can urpmi snes9x snes9x-gtk.
Thanks José, is ok now. :) I had a problem with speed of emulation, but I just set up the sound driver to ALSA (in main window of snes9x-gtk, Options->Preferences->Sound) and now is very good. Kudos, mages.
