In RC installer new theme is very badly exposed. In MCC is more better. Is it possible to do same look for installer?

(In reply to Jaanus Ojangu from comment #6) > Created attachment 4725 [details] > Pop-up window in installer without frame > > Pop-up window in installer without frame is badly view. This is not a theme bug but a gtk regression with the switch to gtk3, please open a separate one.
indeed still theme has to be a bit more centered on left-background for the installer.
Doctor5000 said : "specific advice what exactly you don't like" This theme is not ugly. It could be a quality to be ugly cause it is very distinctive. Like the Mageia1 theme (I liked it). No, this theme is just very sad, it is just dark blue ink poured on a kitchen wallpaper from last 70's. It is just poor designed by an unprofessionnal who just doesn't know the state of the art and has never seen a PC running Trisquel or whatever distro or Windows. Or in the past, Mandriva. I am not at all a designer but i can see there is no effects. No light, no shadow, no depth, no 3D, no gradiant colours, no colours. The problem is that the powerfull CCM will have the look of a poor tool and Mageia the look of an old fashioned distro. Like Arnaud Vacquier, i should feel ashamed to launch CCM before someone else. I can not believe it's serious, no one can select such a theme, it's a joke.

As far as I am concerned, this is a no fix bug and I am closing it as such. The artwork process went through the same procedure as normal, and no suitable background was given, so alternative measures were taken as per MGA3 and we were given this one which is suitable, unless you can provide a new image that meets the requirements by today then there wont be any change as we don't have time. PS: you may say that it is something out of the 70's, I say that it is a neo modern interpretation of Japenese pictographs.

Mageia = Cauldron = Magic Flowers not ! So why you wait last time for update this theme ? Please come back Mageia 3 theme. ---- all distributions are recognizable by their wallpaper. Ubuntu, Mint, Debian.... Why not for Mageia ? why change every new release ?

You may have noticed that none yes NONE of our previous wallpapers had anything to do with a Cauldron, so I have to assume that you have something against flowers, and hence your somewhat irrational responses to this. If this really was such a big issue for you then no doubt you would have been taking part in the choosing of the artwork, or, just changing the defaults, it takes less than 3 minutes to do it, even reverting to the mga3 theme would take that long. I'll even provide the necessary files for you!!! As an aside, the particular "magic" associated with a Cauldron for me tends to involve a close connection with nature, so by that logic flowers are probably the most Cauldron like theme we have had so far.
I would not call the new theme "ugly" but I much prefer the previous theme. It had more finesse. It did not need to be changed. I would not class this bug as "critical" providing the functionality is not affected. I think that "enhancement" would be a better classification. Mostly this bug relates to folk prefering one thing over another. We all have different opinions, so the bug cannot be fixed for all people. However, this is the first time that we have seen the new theme. The theme may be non-functional but it gives people a lasting first impression. It deserves some time and discussion, so the bug should not be prematurely closed. If the theme cannot easily be changed by a user, it would be better to keep the theme very bland. In MCC, the navigation panel has dark blue with white writing on it. It would be easier to read the text if the writing was not directly over the flowers. From this point of view, the Installer is better. The flowers are nicely out of the way in that. I suggest that the logo be changed. Either put the cauldron over the word "mageia" or remove the cauldron, and use a capital 'm', i.e. "Mageia". The current theme logo looks like "Omageia".

The > current theme logo looks like "Omageia". As the logo used is a updated version of the original logo, I don't see it being changed anytime soon, certainly not for MGA4, but you can submit your ideas, as any thoughts on things to improve are always welcome.
The Mageia 4 theme is great! It could be suggested, perhaps, that one could consider the privileged position of flowers in our cultures... including flowers for Mageia (magic)- for those that care to bring magic and cauldons into the discussion. Addtionally, I never saw the "O" thing.
