Hi, It is possible to update the idea of Claire Robinson and Derek Jennings ? https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Feature:Independently_install_desktop_environments
No idea of what became that bug. It is too old now, marked "Resolved" to clean bugzilla.

The behaviour of installer did not change, though, the desktop that is preselected in the chooseDesktop screen, is preselected in the next screen, too. I doubt it would be good to have nothing preselected in that second screen, though. If someone can forget to deselect an unwanted DE, he/she can also forget to make a selection. In that case, a minimal install would be done, which is certainly worse for beginners than accidentally having two DEs installed.
