First wrong product was chosen.
Then it may be that permissions are not set due to some missing udev rule?

Can you attach (NOT paste) the /tmp/info.txt file resulting from running the following commands?
Run them as user (not root) in a terminal:

lspcidrake -v > /tmp/info.txt
# Unplug your camera, wait a couple seconds, then:
echo -e "\nBEFORE PLUGGING:" >> /tmp/info.txt
ls -l /dev/bus/usb/* >> /tmp/info.txt
# Now plug your camera, wait a couple seconds, then:
echo -e "\nAFTER PLUGGING:" >> /tmp/info.txt
ls -l /dev/bus/usb/* >> /tmp/info.txt

can you test with my comment ?

If i run kdeinit4 in Konsole all is ok ( dolphin, gwenview ... )
Comment 10 Christian Müller 2014-03-29 20:07:50 CET
yes, this works for me, too. And if run once, all other KDE apps (dolphin, gwenview, digikam) work until next KDE startup.
Comment 11 marc fanjoux 2014-03-29 20:28:55 CET
ok !
When you run kdeinit4 in user mode ( simple user ) too ?

thank you ...
Comment 12 Christian Müller 2014-03-29 20:30:34 CET
yes, exactly.
Comment 13 Gunther Hartmann 2014-04-26 18:34:58 CEST
Same here with X86_64 package. Running kdeinit4 fixes the problem for the session. digikam works without problems.
