Description Sascha Schroeder 2014-01-04 19:36:44 CET
Description of problem:

This is annoying: I realized today that the possibility to delete files directly from the context menu is gone in Dolphin. Why??

You are not able to get this function back via
Dolphin->Settings->General->Context Menu->Show Delete Directly

Neither is this missing feature somewhere else in the settings.

I hope this is just a flaw from someone who forgot to merge this with the newest KDE release. Can't be serious ... How does one work without this!?

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
KDE:  4.10.5

How reproducible:
see below

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start Dolphin
2. go to Settings->General->Context Menu
3. recognize the missing entry to delete files directly
4. wonder and shake your head
5. you should be angry now

This is crucial for me, please bring this back.

Reproducible:

Recognized after a long time, it's not gone: Now it's called a "service".

What was available via

Settings->"General"->Context Menu

is no filed under

"Services" (left hand side below "Navigation") in menu

and there

[ ] Delete

Recognize the "[ ]"! It's not checked yet. To bring back "Delete" in your context menu, check this box!

In fact this was the _only_ box unchecked inside "Services"(!).

Seriously, but whatever. SOLVED.
