When trying to print some PDFs, I get the following error and the files are not printed. ==> /var/log/cups/access_log <== localhost - - [12/Dec/2013:11:46:01 +0100] "POST /printers/ricoh HTTP/1.1" 200 363 Create-Job successful-ok localhost - - [12/Dec/2013:11:46:01 +0100] "POST /printers/ricoh HTTP/1.1" 200 2048177 Send-Document successful-ok ==> /var/log/cups/error_log <== W [12/Dec/2013:11:46:05 +0100] failed to CreateProfile: org.freedesktop.ColorManager.AlreadyExists:profile id 'Ricoh-Gray..' already exists W [12/Dec/2013:11:46:05 +0100] failed to CreateProfile: org.freedesktop.ColorManager.AlreadyExists:profile id 'Ricoh-CMYK..' already exists W [12/Dec/2013:11:46:05 +0100] failed to CreateDevice: org.freedesktop.ColorManager.AlreadyExists:device id 'cups-Ricoh' already exists The printer itself reports "The job was reset".
I was able to print the pdfs after processing them with 'pdf2pdf'. I still would not call this an "easy workaround" since normal users will not be able to to this.
still valid ? there was some update iirc
Yes, still valid. Tested just now with a up-to-date Mageia 3, using attached PDF
PDF is to large for attaching. I uploaded it to http://filebin.ca/17S2WYkSa8VS/vorschau01cffeaf6b0d60a93c194f9ebe5a8202.pdf, sh1sum is 1d30f38d0b9b725d4d0bdb3ecefdcff5aefac68a
Mageia 5 prints fine for me. So I assume fixed.
