The text is now displayed as a tool-tip. Thierry explained this somewhere, but I don't remember if it was in a bug report or in the dev ML.

If so, that is just a poor decision as far as I am concerned. It is bad enough that it is very hard to tell which partition is selected by color. Now we have to mouse over each partition just to find the desired partition. That is just not user friendly. :-(

Created attachment 4570 [details] set labels again but make them ellipsized This patch makes label appears again. But unfortunately, the sizing bug appears again: when not embedded in mcc, the window will kept growing when switching between disks (depending if they've too big labels vs their relatize size)
I eventually found a workaround. Fixed in git
