I can confirm this.

This bug may be related to bug#11602.

Maybe, but my WAG will be a video setup problem.

I just tried a boot.iso. I had characters looking like an incorrect baud rate
I hit Enter, and screen went blank just like a all.rdz/vmlinuz boot.

Booting the DVD, it appears default resolution is 640x480. :(
Happens on my ATI Radeon HD 4870 and Radeon HD 5450 systems.

I'm getting the same thing here trying to boot to isolinux. I replaced the paths in my grub menu.lst with the new paths to vmlinux and all.rdz, and booting locks up to blank screen immediately.

Found the problem and the workaround is to remove the vga=xxx argument.
Comment 5 James Kerr 2013-11-16 11:46:32 CET
Thanks for the workaround. It fixes the bug on my testing system (nvidia).

Comment 6 James Kerr 2013-11-17 22:02:33 CET
Bug seems to be fixed with drakx-installer-images-2.2-2 (which uses kernel-3.12.0-3)
Comment 7 Manuel Hiebel 2013-11-17 22:07:38 CET
