Description of problem: When multiple keyboard layouts have been defined, gnome-shell shows a menu with layouts in the top panel. There is also an option 'show keyboard layout' which calls gkbd-keyboard-display, part of libgnomekbd-common. This wasn't installed on my Cauldron system. Apparently a dependency is missing. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 3.10.1 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click on keyboard layout indicator 2. Select 'show keyboard layout' 3. Not sure I understand. What top panel? Which things should I click?
(In reply to Olav Vitters from comment #1) > Not sure I understand. What top panel? Which things should I click? You first have to add a secondary input source (a.k.a. keyboard layout) in g-c-c under Region and Language. Then, you will have a layout indicator on the gnome shell top panel. In the dropdown menu of that indicator, the 'show keyboard layout' option is present.
