Description of problem:
During package updates texlive install emits the following:

ERROR:  The following map file(s) couldn't be found:
        PTSans-type1.map (in /etc/texmf/web2c/updmap.cfg)
        PTSerif-type1.map (in /etc/texmf/web2c/updmap.cfg)

        Did you run mktexlsr?

        You can disable non-existent map entries using the option
          --syncwithtrees.

You have a buggy /etc/texmf/web2c/updmap.cfg which points at non-existing fonts (not in Mageia).
Just remove /etc/texmf/web2c/updmap.cfg and everything will be fine.

Status: ASSIGNED => RESOLVED
Resolution: (none) => INVALID

OK thanks - I have re-named it and will see what happens - here is the existing file out of interest.
