Description of problem: Mumble 1.2.3 dont support the OPUS codec, only CELT. Many server block CELT becouse of bad quality of sound and only allow OPUS what means that you need to use Mumble 1.2.4 (or higher) to talk. If you have 1.2.3 you cant hear something. Server who dont block CELT and use normaly OPUS and you connect with 1.2.3 the soundcodec changes to CELT for everyone wich affect to bad quality for everyone. How reproducible: Connect to a Mumble Server with OPUS (only) codec with the Mumble 1.2.3 wich is shipped with Mageia 3 and Mageia 4 Alpha 3. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Mumble from the repository 2. Connect to an public server 3. You can here nothing if this server use OPUS or the soundquality for other users getting worse. Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:

It's because of the old version available in our repositories. The problem we have is that there's currently nobody to maintain Mumble, the problem is going to persists until somebody wants to package it. It also appears that Mumble is a software which is very difficult to maintain. Updating to 1.2.5 manually (following instructions from Mumble's website) will be helpful if you want to have the last version. Instructions and tarballs are available here : http://sourceforge.net/projects/mumble/files/Mumble/1.2.5/

We now have a packager for mumble, assigned to him.
Note that mumble-1.2.8-1.mga4 is now available on Core/Backports_testing repo. Thanks for report your feedback. :)
Ah, also it adds the Opus support now.
As this package is now fixed on Cauldron/Core and on mga4/Backport I close this bug. Feel free to reopen it if is needed. :)
