Created attachment 4379 [details] message in terminal Hi, I do first install with minimal (no desktop, no software) only system + X When i come on X desktop, i can't open MCC with the mouse. I open terminal, write darkconfig and he say me : "can open only in Root" But i don't understand why he don't ask me the password when i click ?. So for resume, MCC can open only with terminal as root. All links in menu don't run. Thank you
Source RPM: (none) => drakconf
"All links in menu don't run." what does that mean ? btw is a polkit package are something like that ? (we changed the authentication way which was previously consolekit)
Keywords: (none) => NEEDINFOSummary: MCC can't be open in minimal install => MCC can't be open in minimal install (polkit update)
If i click on MCC in task bar, nothing happens
and for the other question ?

Is the package "polkit" installed? (FWIW, the previous system was usermode consolehelper, not consolekit :) - that said, I may very well have accidentally referred to consolekit at some point in commit messages :D)
I'm pretty sure it's installed: $ rpm -e polkit --test 2>&1|grep -i drak|sort polkit is needed by (installed) drakconf-12.42-1.mga4.noarch polkit is needed by (installed) drakx-kbd-mouse-x11-0.110-4.mga4.x86_64 polkit is needed by (installed) drakxtools-15.65-1.mga4.x86_64 polkit is needed by (installed) drakxtools-curses-15.65-1.mga4.x86_64 polkit is needed by (installed) rpmdrake-5.50-1.mga4.noarch
Good point :) I guess there is no polkit authentication agent listening on dbus. Probably requires something kind of xinit.d script for non-DE environments.
Arnaud, can I ask what your minimal desktop comprised? e.g. was it gnome, lxde, kde etc.? I tried a minimal install + X but it didn't do much by itself (X just exited as there was no window manager). I'd like to replicate the problem but until I have some kind of desktop similar to yours I can't really do that. If you could detail the steps taken in the installer - i.e. package selection - that would be good. Thanks.
