Description of problem:
My external display (Samsung XL2370, connected through the VGA port) is refreshed badly in Cauldron under Gnome. Often, the background turns white, shadow effects are solid blue or the image of closed windows stays on the screen. The graphics chip is a Mobility Radeon HD3470, using the open source driver.

This setup works fine in MGA3.

1. Attach external monitor
2. Launch Gnome session
3. Watch how background turns white etc. on external display

Ping? Bug still exists with kernel 3.12.0-desktop-0.rc5 and x11-driver-video-ati-7.2.0-6.mga4.
