Does this still happen? I thought the drakxtools update yesterday fixed this.

CC: (none) => mageia, tmb

Comment 2 Colin Guthrie 2013-09-06 16:25:55 CEST
These should already be fixed and it's also WIP. Annoyingly, the links for some tools were in shipped in different packages. It'll all work out in the wash eventually :)

Resolution: (none) => FIXED

Running step 5 of the test procedure gets me
    dangling: /usr/sbin/drakkeyboard -> keyboarddrake
    dangling: /usr/sbin/drakmouse -> mousedrake
    dangling: /usr/sbin/drakx11 -> XFdrake
    dangling: /usr/sbin/Xdrakres -> XFdrake
on 1 virtualbox guest, one HP host, and on a Lenova host. My guess would be NO.

> I thought the drakxtools update yesterday fixed this.

If that was
$ get_src_rpm /usr/sbin/drakkeyboard

      Install rpm: drakxtools-curses-15.57-3.mga4
      Source rpm: drakxtools-15.57-3.mga4.src.rpm

Then it did not fix it.

Tell me how it is already fixed and a a Work In Progress. :(

> Annoyingly, the links for some tools were in shipped in different packages.

I understand what you are saying, BUT drakxtools was released last, does not fix the links and therefore will not preform correctly for users doing an upgrade. :(

Not if people keep Resolving an unfixed bug. :-(

clean install of Mageia-4-alpha2-x86_64-DVD.iso
dangling: /usr/sbin/mouseconfig -> mousedrake
dangling: /usr/sbin/Xdrakres -> XFdrake
dangling: /usr/sbin/drakx11 -> XFdrake
dangling: /usr/sbin/drakmouse -> mousedrake
dangling: /usr/sbin/kbdconfig -> keyboarddrake
dangling: /usr/sbin/drakkeyboard -> keyboarddrake

Resolution: FIXED => (none)

Comment 5 Colin Guthrie 2013-09-08 12:46:05 CEST
It was all fixed in my git tree but I didn't push because of Alpha 2. Have now pushed all the commits and a new build. Like I say this is all WIP and it will work itself out in the end.

Status: REOPENED => RESOLVED
Resolution: (none) => FIXED
