Description Pierre Jarillon 2013-08-23 18:32:29 CEST
The release of Kicad in Mageia3 is 10111221
New versions (2013) use a new format of files which cannot be opened with Mageia3.
The last release is able to open old and new files.
I have juste replaced the executable files with the news and it works.
See http://www.kicad-pcb.org/

Thanks for the report Pierre.

We probably won't provide a new version of Kicad for Mageia 3, unless the backports are opened.
I'm looking at packaging the latest stable snapshot in Cauldron.

I updated Kicad in Cauldron and could build and run it successfully.

@Michael and/or Stormi: Can one of you review the changes and submit the package? (Basically I just ran update.sh to produce the tarballs, and I added some rpmlint consistency to the specfile).

Your changes seem not to have been committed to the SVN repository for the kicad package in cauldron.

Indeed, it seems I forgot to commit. It's now done.
I split the changes in two commits, one cosmetic and one for the version update.
