Description William Kenney 2013-08-22 22:54:44 CEST
During the boot up and down sequences the following message is displayed:

[ 1.006524] goldfish_pdev_bus: unable to reserve Goldfish MMIO.

Depending on the platform you are testing on the length the message stays on
the display varies. The slower the machine the longer it persists.
IMO it's not very professional and likely would concern new users, and reviewers,
of Mageia. FWIW it's not seen in Mint 15. So is there a way to sweep this under
the boot up, power down, rug?

I see it all the time in both the boot up and
shut down modes. Never in the working desktop
so I guess you could say it's in the console
mode. But everyone is going to see it. I see
it on all the platforms I'm testing M4 on
virtual or not.

Comment 4 Thomas Backlund 2013-09-04 21:43:10 CEST
I've disabled GOLDFISH emulator support in default kernel configs in svn,
so this warning will disappear in kernel > 3.10.10-3

I wont rebuild the kernel just for this change, so the warning will be visible in alpha2 isos

Super Deal, so hopefully by M4A3 we won't see it anymore.

Thanks
