Description Arnaud Vacquier 2011-05-02 21:13:45 CEST
Hi,

sorry for my bad english.

Description of problem:
I don't know name in english but in french (capture d'écran utilitaire), tools in gnome for take screenshot bug !

there is little bug when i take screenshot with the select current windows (2th option)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome 2.32.1

How reproducible:
open windows, open tools for screenshot current windows, try take with time 0

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open a windows
2.open tools for screen shot
3.select "take current open windows (i don't know in englsih, in french "capturer la fenêtre actuelle"
4. select time "0"

-> no screen

For fix : the time will be more than "0", if you put 1,2,3...it is ok but 0 never do screenshot.

thank you,
Arnaud

Comment 1 Pascal Terjan 2011-05-03 02:05:06 CEST
Indeed
It probably tries to take a screenshot of the setting window, as it is the current window, but hides it before
Comment 2 Ahmad Samir 2011-05-03 19:45:30 CEST
That was my guess; it should only accept values > 0 when "grab the current window" is used.
Comment 3 Ahmad Samir 2011-05-03 19:58:53 CEST
I've reported the issue upstream.

This is reported against Cauldron but it's already fixed in upstream some gnome-utils version ago. Is this bug still valid on Mga1?

Version: Cauldron => 1

Comment 12 Jani Välimaa 2011-10-29 15:52:34 CEST
Added patch from upstream git which should fix this pb. Had to also add another patch to fix the build.

Please test new release [1] from core/updates_testing.

I can not recreate the bug on my i586 system, but can confirm
the new version works.

Testing on i586 complete for the srpm
gnome-utils-2.32.0-1.1.mga1.src.rpm

Comment 15 claire robinson 2011-10-30 11:43:38 CET
I can't reproduce x86_64 but it works as it should with the update. Tested dictionary & search tool too.

Manuel also confirmed so I'm going to validate.
