Hi Team Mageia,

Is it possible to build lbzip2 for Mageia ?

It's more efficient than pbzip2.


Under this sentense, a test made on Gentoo Linux (which have this 2 packages, and bzip2 are symlinks to these tools) :

With pbzip2, a 7GB folder :

time tar cjf TEST.pbzip2.tar.bz2 TEST

real    11m36.292s
user    42m31.085s
sys     0m42.761s
**************************************

With lbzip2, the same folder,

**************************************
time tar cjf TEST.lbzip2.tar.bz2 TEST

real    8m43.836s
user    19m47.721s
sys     0m32.079s
**************************************
