Description Chris Denice 2013-08-13 10:52:37 CEST
It seems there is some issue with some ds9 functions. Opening a fits file and clikcing on "header" for instance returns unclosable pop-up windows with the message:
"An internal error has been detected, can't read "var(text)", no such element in array"
or
"can't read pds9(dialog,center), no such element in array"
and various other tcl variations.

Step to reproduce:
1) open a fits file.

For instance, pick one there (save file and rename as pippo.fits)
http://archive.stsci.edu/cgi-bin/dss_form?target=m82&resolver=SIMBAD

then
ds9 pippo.fits

2) Click on the menu: file->header
here you go.

3) Try to close the blank window that just appeared and you get other error messages.

cheers,
chris.
