An attempt to install transcode from the MCC results in the following error: Sorry, the following package cannot be selected: - transcode-1.1.7-6.mga4.tainted.i586 (due to unsatisfied libavformat.so.54) I don't know if this is relevant or not? The multimedia packages I use VLC, OpenShot, Kino, smplayer and many more do not seem to be effected by this. Is this package still needed? It installs just fine in M3: [root@sherman wilcal]# urpmi transcode Package transcode-1.1.7-5.mga3.tainted.i586 is already installed [root@sherman wilcal]# urpmq --whatrequires transcode dvdrip mythtv-frontend mythtv-plugin-archive subtitleripper transcode Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:

Using the latest: Mageia-4-alpha1-LiveDVD-KDE4-i586-DVD.iso Mageia-4-alpha1-LiveDVD-KDE4-x86_64-DVD.iso As test platforms in Vbox and my up-to-date-today local repo ( mirrored from mirrors.kernel.org ) I am able to successfully install transcode into both of these LiveDVD's. So therefore something has changed in Cauldron. If that is the case can we close this bug as resolved?
transcode has been rebuilt against latest ffmpeg.
