Description rafaelyine 2013-08-10 03:20:46 CEST
A good input method framework is the most important thing for all CJK people!

Ibus is ok, but fcitx is more than good. At least, most Chinese linuxer use fcitx instead of ibus.

But,as a good distribution,it's shamed that Mageia lack of most fcitx's official packages. As a result,CJK people can't input CJK in Mageia3 KDE(without fcitx-qt4), can't config Fcitx and can't use they favourite input method such as fcitx-rime & fcitx-sunpinyin in Mageia 3 and even Cauldron. All these keep many CJK people away from Mageia.

So please add all Fcitx's official packages into Mageia.Help us, Improved Mageia!

Here also a list of packages that others distributions have packed.

Maybe helpful.

Thanks very much!

Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.

You might also want to join the packager team to maintain this piece of software: see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager
