Description of problem:
GNOME devs have a hard life on Mageia:
Mageia is not ready for use with jhbuild, the official tool from GNOME to build GNOME software,

Packages are missing in Mageia, or are outdated for use in jhbuild, and there are no installation intructions for potential users of jhbuild.

Also gnome devs have to search all their tools together, and have to make sure that the package versions are not outdated, to compile GNOME software.


I suggest to create a seperate tasks package for gnome developers, which installs all sort of tools a gnome dev needs, when he wants to build, debug, and program GNOME 3 applications.


I already made two lists of potential needed packages , to make Mageia ready for use with jhbuild.
