Description of problem: 

With mageia 3 (32bit or 64bit), the VIA Chrome9-based cards isn't working right, some characters aren't always displayed. (see the attached picture)

How reproducible: 

By installation of mageia 3 32bit or 64bit (KDE or Gnome or different) with a laptop Samsung NC20.


Steps to Reproduce:
1. Installation of mageia 3RC, it's all-right.
2. Installation of mageia 3 (official) with a "live DVD" or with the normally installation (it's the same result), some characters aren't always displayed

can you make the list of package installed in a 3RC install and 3 ?
(with the same media)

I have tryed the mageia 5 Alpha (Live CD KDE) on the Laptop Samsung NC20. 
Some characters aren't always displayed. (see the attached picture: Snapshot_Samsung_NC20_Mageia5_Alpah1). Since the Mageia,the driver for the VIA Chrome9-based cards isn't working right.

Mageia 3 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status 4 months ago.

Mageia 3 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Mageia
please feel free to click on "Version" change it against that version of Mageia
and reopen this bug.
