Description of problem: Kipi and Telepathy are installed by default and have to be removed manually. Is there a reason why this is so and those packages aren't optional like almost all of the other software? IMHO/AFAIK almost nobody uses those functionalities, yet they are installed by default and take up unneccessary space. To keep Mageia as responsible and small as possible, those packages should be removed from the default installation. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): all installation media up to Mageia 3 How reproducible: install Mageia 3, rpm -qa | grep kipi, rpm -qa | grep telepathy Steps to Reproduce: 1. install Mageia 3 2. rpm -qa | grep kipi or rpm -qa | grep telepathy Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:
they are needed by a kde component, don't remember which one so it depends off your definition of "default"
