The last screen of drakx-installer-stage2 refers to a post install chapter of the Official Mageia User's Guide http://doc.mageia.org/installer/3/en/content/exitInstall.html We have neither that guide, nor that chapter. However, there are those feature request that have been accepted (see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/FeatureMageia4_Review), and are supposed to be merged: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Feature:MageiaWelcome https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Feature:NewbieHow-To Please, as soon as the name of the merged MageiaWelcome / NewbieHow-To is known, let the last installer screen refer to it instead of to something that doesn't exist.

do you have a sentense to replace the existing one ?
CC: (none) => nicolas.lecureuil
Currently, the last line is: "Information on configuring your system is available in the post install chapter of the Official Mageia User's Guide" I propose to replace that line with: "After rebooting and logging into Mageia, you will see the MageiaWelcome screen. It is full of very useful information and links. But I'm fine with any better proposal :-)
Target Milestone: --- => Mageia 5
Created attachment 5523 [details] proposed patch Thierry, can this patch be applied, please? The exit screen still refers to a manual that doesn't exist!
Attachment 5523 is patch: 0 => 1
"start6" means nothing if this gets fixed before the milestone is reached. Else it means: @ anyone and @ me: feel free to apply the patch right after Mga 6 cauldron is opened. It won't break anything (except translations), but if it does: Blame me!

@ i18n/l10n if in this screen http://doc.mageia.org/installer/4/en/content/exitInstall.html the utterly wrong: "Information on configuring your system is available in the post install chapter of the Official Mageia User's Guide" Gets replaced with: "After rebooting and logging into Mageia, you will see the MageiaWelcome screen. It is full of very useful information and links." soon, would that be OK with you? In the worst case, for missing translators and for translators who don't have time, the wrong sentence would be replaced with the new English text.... is that worse than having a wrong text?

IMO it's always better to have an incomplete translation but accurate sentence than having wrong information. So I'd say go on :-)
committed to git, but forgot to add (mga#10901) to the commit message, and need to cook lunch now..... will try to figure out later whether changing the commit message is possible
(In reply to Marja van Waes from comment #7) > ...forgot to add (mga#10901) to the commit message... > will try to figure out later whether changing > the commit message is possible The more I read about it, the more I discover I shouldn't even try to change the message once the commit got pushed. I won't touch it.
@ Angelo When you review my changes in git and in svn, and only in case you know: Changing a commit message in git is _not_ possible without changing the checksum of the commit, so there is no good way to add "(mga#10901)" to my original git commit message, correct? Googling for "git notes" site:mageia.org only results without quotes are shown, so we don't use git-notes... (and probably have a very good reason to stay away from it). Forget about the other question I had, I no longer think I did something wrong, there :-)
@ Angelo Sorry, see comment 9 I should have CC'ed you
