Description Georges Eckenschwiller 2013-07-27 15:31:57 CEST
Description of problem:

The applet of xfce4-mixer does not appear in the panel

After to have installed manually the applet, I see that it is necessary to replace xfce4-mixer-plugin to mix in the file /etc/xdg/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfce4-panel.xml

You can replace 'requires' by 'suggest' for the themes oxygen-gtk and oxygen-icon-theme (#8899)

Thanks

Pushed new release [1] to core/updates_testing. Please test if it fixes your xfce4-mixer issue.

I'm not going to do this requires -> suggests change for stable release. However, it's already done in cauldron.

I have tested.
It's OK
Comment 3 Jani Välimaa 2013-07-27 21:46:25 CEST
To QA team:

Please test new release [1] of mageia-xfce-config. It's the only .rpm created from the .src.rpm with same name.

Test case:

1. Install Xfce and create a new user or use existing one.
2. rm -rf /home/testuser/.config
3. login to Xfce with testuser and see no volume icon on tray
4. update mageia-xfce-config and logout testuser
5. rm -rf /home/testuser/.config
6. login to Xfce and see volume icon

Comment 4 Georges Eckenschwiller 2013-07-28 08:10:46 CEST
There is an error: the last applets disappeared.
As I was trying themes of icons, I thought at first that the error came from my theme.
In fact, it is about an typo error in xfce4-panel.xml.

It is necessary to delete the slash behind "mixer"
Comment 5 Jani Välimaa 2013-07-28 16:24:48 CEST
Indeed, fixed it and pushed new release [1] for testing.

Testing complete mga3 32

Note to other testers, 'mv .config .configbak' rather than deleting it the first time so that you can restore it later as it is all your user settings.

When done testing you can delete .config and 'mv .configbak .config' again.
