Description of problem: Multi-frame recording option is missing from the preferences of xvidcap therefore cannot set a filename or a location to save to record video. Start xvidcap 2. Right-click filename 3. Choose preferences 4. Converting a jaunty .deb package into an rpm has solved the problem. Video works. Perhaps you could convert it too and add it to the repositories
Dropping patch 8 in revision 391117 allowed xvidcap to build, but means it compiles without ffmpeg. I have looked around the web but cannot find a replacement patch to work with current ffmpeg.
