Description of problem:

I wanted to update the Mageia 3 and failed due to the following:

2 installation transactions failed

There was a problem during the installation:

file /usr/include/libxml2/libxml/xmlerror.h from install of lib64xml2-devel-2.9.0-5.2.mga3.x86_64 conflicts with file from package libxml2-devel-2.9.0-5.mga3.i586

lib64xml2_2 >= 2.9.0-5.2.mga3 is needed by libxml2-utils-2.9.0-5.2.mga3.x86_64

kmod(vboxdrv) = 4.2.16 is needed by virtualbox-4.2.16-1.mga3.x86_64

and if you uninstall libxml2-devel ?

uninstalling libxml2-devel did the trick ...

ok, I don't know why you had both 32 and 64 version but it's not normal.
